Redworth Hall Hotel

Sautéed garlic and lime King Prawn

Redworth Hall is a  17th century Jacobean Manor House situated in 26 acres of beautifull landscaped gardens and woodlands. This four star hotel has an impressive 143 bedrooms, an indoor pool with spa facilities and a number of function rooms.  Located in rurally picturesque County Durham, the hotel is a short distance from the main town centre and easily accessible from the A1.

Red onion, courgette and Brie tart tatin with balsamic reduction

This hotel is a great place for a few days get-away. It has a very relaxing ambience, the staff are friendly and the food is very nice. However, some areas of the hotel, are in need of a decorating upgrade. (This however did not distract us from a very enjoyable stay). The room we stayed in was very clean, of a fair size and well decorated.

The restaurant was very busy on the two nights we stayed, but there was no problem with booking a time to suit. The evening meal costs between £17.50 to £25.00 depending on the number of courses.

Medallions of Beef Fillet

Pan fried Seabass

The menu,in my opinion, offered enough options to suit all needs. The food was very enjoyable, flavoursome and well presented. Although we did find ourselves ordering an extra side of vegetables to go with our main course.

Dark Chocolate and orange tart

The chocolate and orange tart was delectable, rich but extremely light in texture, simply one of the best I have ever tasted. The service was efficient and friendly.
